Passengers with BMI are the least likely to be delayed at Edinburgh Airport, the Evening News reports. New figures reveal that the airline had an average hold-up of 4.63 minutes, beating nearest rival KLM on 5.27 minutes. The worst performance came from Scottish budget airline Flyglobespan, with an average delay of 18.27 minutes.
Most airlines flying from Edinburgh improved over the last four years, including BA, which almost halved delays and came in tenth of 20 airlines listed, with average delays of 9.21 minutes. easyJet had an average of 10.55 minutes. Laurie Price, of survey taker Mott MacDonald, told the newspaper: ‘Larger fleets of the same aircraft type helps operational flexibility, and cuts delays.’
