12 new routes in April for Edinburgh Airport
19.04.09
Edinburgh Airport has announced the addition of 12 new routes since the start of April, proving a huge boost to the hub. The airport will offer new flights serving Spain, Italy, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Malta and Croatia, with Ryanair accounting for 10 of the 12 new destinations.
Gordon Dewar, managing director of Edinburgh airport, said: ‘This is a difficult and challenging time for the airline industry, and for many airports. Edinburgh Airport is not immune to these pressures. However, we have been working hard over the past few months to attract new airlines and develop our international route network. Despite the recession, 12 new international services will take off from Edinburgh this summer.’
