Edinburgh Airport install travel info pods
17.09.08
Two new interactive information terminals have been installed at Edinburgh Airport to help passengers plan their journeys. The new Cityspace pods can be found at both domestic and international arrival halls, offering passengers access to Traveline Scotland and BBC travel news to help them to plan their onward journeys and find out information about public transport.
By presenting passengers with practical public transport options, the airport hopes that the service will influence both visitors’ choice of transport mode and destination, helping tourists to explore the historic city.
Lois Proctor, planning and development executive at BAA Edinburgh, said: ‘Increasing the uptake of public transport is key to our growth plans and is central to the Airport Surface Access Strategy over the next 5 years.’
