Ryanair has celebrated its four millionth passenger at Edinburgh Airport. Since it began operating from the Capital in 2001, it has gone from one route to 39, including four recently-announced routes to Hamburg Lubeck, Faro, Marrakesh and Paris from May 2010, 'which will grow Ryanair's annual traffic at Edinburgh to over 2.5 million passengers, sustaining 2,500 local jobs,’ a spokesman said.
Gordon Dewar, managing director of Edinburgh Airport, added: ‘This is a fantastic milestone. The partnership we have with Ryanair is not only good for the airport, but for Edinburgh and Scotland as whole. We're looking forward to the next 4 million passengers and beyond.’
