Emergency landing for Ryanair plane at Edinburgh Airport
18.01.09
A Ryanair plane carrying 167 people was forced to divert to Edinburgh Airport yesterday after the pilot discovered a problem with the cabin pressure system. The Boeing 737 flight from Dublin to Riga, Latvia, made the precautionary diversion and landed just before 14:00.
A spokeswoman for Edinburgh Airport said: ‘There is an investigation to find out what is wrong but it was something minor with the cabin pressure. The captain categorised it as a precautionary diversion.’
