Edinburgh Airport car parks get technology upgrade

APT SkiData has replaced Edinburgh Airport’s car parking technology infrastructure, which is used to manage the parking of up to 4,500 vehicles. The new system uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and Radio Frequency ID (RFID) technologies to make parking faster and more efficient for passengers.
As part of the refit, APT has installed a number of new barriers, which will control the access in to and out of Edinburgh Airport’s 1,500 short and business stay spaces and 3,000 long stay car parking spaces. In addition 21 Easy.Cash pay stations have also been installed.
