Another Scot interested in Edinburgh Airport

Scottish merchant banker Sir Angus Grossart is attempting to put together a consortium of financial institutions north of the Border to bid for Edinburgh Airport, the Herald reports. US private equity company Carlyle Group are also looking to form a consortium including Scottish investors, and there is at least one other Scottish group trying to form a consortium to bid for the airport.
The Herald reports that Sir Angus, owner of Edinburgh-based merchant bank Noble Grossart, has been plotting a consortium bid for Edinburgh or Glasgow Airport for more than two years, and has already recruited 'airport management specialists', which we assume means a management team or a company that already owns / operates airports. Other bidders are reported to be likely to include Manchester Airports Group, Gatwick and London City airports owner GIP, plus foreign airport owners including from Canada, France and Germany,
