Roadworks near East Midlands Airport

The Highways Agency has issued details of overnight M1 slip road and lane closures at junction 23A which will affect East Midlands Airport and Donington Park Motorway Services traffic starting tonight.
Overnight tonight (commencing at midnight) and tomorrow (October 1, commencing at 22:00) the southbound slip roads at junction 23A will be closed. This affects traffic joining the M1 southbound from the A453, East Midlands Airport and the Donington Park motorway services area and traffic leaving the M1 southbound for the A42. Diversions via junction 24 will apply, and the services area will remain open for business at all times with access to all routes. A single lane will be open on the M1 southbound through junction 23A on both of these nights.
Overnight on Friday (October 2, commencing at midnight) and Saturday (October 3 commencing at 22;00) the northbound slip roads at junction 23A will be closed. This affects traffic joining the M1 northbound from the A42 and traffic leaving the M1 northbound for the A453, East Midlands Airport and the Donington Park motorway services area. Diversions via junction 24 will apply, and the services area will remain open for business at all times with access to all routes. A single lane will be open on the M1 northbound through junction 23A on both of these nights.
Overnight on Sunday (October 4, commencing at 22:30) lane 3 of the M1 will be closed in both directions through junction 23A and the M1 northbound entry slip road from the A42 will be closed A diversion via junction 24 will apply.
All lane and slip road closures are expected to be removed by 05:00 each morning. However, these dates and times are subject to change in the event of adverse weather or traffic conditions.
