bmibaby launch charity drive

East Midlands Airport based budget airline bmibaby has launched its annual fundraising appeal for BBC Children in Need 2009, the low cost airline's national charity partner. This is the sixth year bmibaby has supported the charity and to mark the start of its fundraising activities, the airline has covered one of its aircraft in colourful spots - just like Pudsey's bandana, and named it Pudsey baby!
The airline's cabin crew started collecting loose change and foreign currency onboard every flight from Monday, and will continue to do so until 30 November 2009 on a total of 2928 flights. In addition the airline will hold fundraising activities at its four UK bases: East Midlands, Manchester, Cardiff and Birmingham, and at its head office. Last year bmibaby raised over £40,000 for the charity and is hoping to beat this in 2009.
