East Midlands Airport car park gets Park Mark

Following an upgrade East Midland Prestige parking have been awarded with the Park Mark Award. Initiated by the Association of Chief Police Officers, car parks have to meet strict standards in order to receive the award.
The achievement is a turnaround for the car park, which was fined £20,000 after it promised secure airport parking but left cars in the open less than two years ago. The firm were also found to be displaying the nationally recognised Park Mark logo at their airport car park, when they had lost their right to do so.
The car park operation pleaded guilty to eight charges under the Trade Descriptions Act. They were fined a total of £20,000, and ordered to pay costs of £2,239.
