East Midlands Airport car park developments

East Midlands Airport is carrying out work to improve its car parking facilities, with scheduled maintenance work in car parks 1 and 4 and the construction of an additional car park. The airport has apologised for any inconvenience caused during this time and reassured passengers that alternative on-site car parking will be available.
The work is as follows:
Car park 1: In order to ensure safe access for earth moving equipment, a large section of long stay car park 1 is currently closed, with availability reduced by 800 spaces. This capacity restriction will be in place until approximately March 10.
Car park 4: As a result of upgrade works, capacity in car park 4 will be affected from mid March 2008 for 16 - 20 weeks. The car park will be closed for some of this period and will have limited capacity at other times.
Additional car parking: In order to continue to offer customers a choice of on-site car parking, the airport is pleased to announce that the construction of a new 1500 space car park is currently underway.
