East Midlands Airport warns passengers to allow extra time for journeys

Staff at East Midlands Airport are urging passengers to allow extra time for the journeys over the busy Christmas period.
Spokeswoman Amy Buckley said staff were expecting 170,000 people to travel through the airport during the festive period, up 13% on last year. He said: 'Please allow plenty of time when travelling to the airport as roads tend to get very busy.'
The most popular destinations for Christmas breaks from East Midlands Airport are said to be Dublin and Alicante in Spain.
