East Midlands Airport bosses say they are happy with their policy on aircraft noise despite protests at a public meeting last night, the Derby Telegraph reports. The airport has put in place measures to reduce the volumes of noise from planes, but many people living nearby say they are still woken by night flights.

At a public consultation meeting held in Melbourne last night, airport staff met with locals to listen to their views, with many unhappy at the measures included in the five year plan.
