Strike vote at East Midlands Airport
16.08.07
More than 200 security workers at East Midlands Airport are to be balloted on industrial action in a row over pay. Unite, the former Transport & General Workers Union, said its members at the airport will vote on whether to launch a campaign of strike action.
Regional officer Mick Till said: 'Our members have mandated our negotiators to press for a substantial pay increase to reflect the increased pressures and responsibilities they have in the ongoing high security at airports.'
