easyJet launch East Midlands – Palma flights

Budget airline easyJet launched a new flight route from East Midlands Airport to Palma, Mallorca yesterday. The three times weekly service (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) increases to daily from the 12th April, with flights from £22.99 one way and £35.35 return, including taxes. The airline expects to carry 100,000 passengers on the route over the next 12 months.
Penny Coates, Managing Director at East Midlands Airport said she was delighted to see the first easyJet flight to Palma taking off. She added: 'We are confident Palma is going to be a popular destination for the people of the Midlands, with its depth of history, culture and nightlife offering something for everyone to enjoy.'
