More passengers using East Midlands Airport bus

East Midlands Airport's Leicester Skylink bus route has seen a 61% increase in passengers compared to last year. The route first opened in October 2006 and carried 38,000 passengers to and from the airport in its first year of service. Between October 2007 and September 2008 passengers increased to over 61,000 being carried, a 61% increase.
The Skylink Marketing Manager Kelly McHugh said; ‘Skylink's good value fares and frequent service is helping to drive the impressive passenger growth. The increase demonstrates that passengers are embracing public transport before travelling aboard.’
The Leicester Skylink service the runs from St Margaret's Bus Station in daytime and Gravel Street at night, seven days a week. For information on prices, routes and timetables visit www.skylink.co.uk
