Operator sought to run new East Midlands Airport hotel

The owners of East Midlands Airport are searching for operators to run a new hotel at a local business park. Planning permission has been granted for the 200-bedroom hotel with leisure and conferencing facilities at the site on the Pegasus Business Park in Castle Donington.
Construction of the hotel, which will have a lounge bar and restaurant, is due to start early next year with the property set to open in early 2011. Jonathan Parrish of Christie & Co, the company in charge of finding an operator, said: ‘This is a very well sited hotel, which will draw from a national, regional and local customer pool, with the added advantage of a busy airport on its doorstep.’
