Excelsis delays Durham - London City flights launch

The airline that hopes to link London City with Durham Tees Valley Airport in the next few weeks has admitted that it has hit problems. Excelsis Air had planned to start selling tickets this week but the airline has not yet received certification from the UK aviation authorities or slots at the London airport.
Airline spokesman Jim Knight said: ‘There has been nothing signed yet with London City Airport. It's fair to say there has been some slippage in the timescale. We were hopeful of flying before the end of November, but it now looks more likely that it will be at the end of the year.’
