New boss for Durham Tees Valley Airport
18.04.08
A new director has been appointed at Durham Tees Valley Airport, after its current boss - who will continue to be based at the airport - was promoted to a new role within the airport's owners.
New airport director, Kerry Quinn, wants to continue the trend of increasing passenger numbers and develop a greater choice of global routes for travellers. The former health service worker joined the airport in 1999 as head of human resources before promotion to director of operations 3 years ago.
Ms Quinn takes over from Hugh Lang, who has been appointed group director of the airport's major shareholder Peel Airports. She said: ‘I am delighted to have the chance of taking this new role at a very exciting yet challenging period in the airport's development. I am sure we can maintain the momentum in increasing our passenger numbers, improving our facilities and choice of routes.’
