The Durham Tees Valley Airport branch of car hire firm Avis has been named the best in Britain. At the company's annual awards the team scooped the 'Station of the Year' title.
The firm has had a base at the region's airport for more than 20 years and is one of 25 Avis airport locations in the UK. The Durham Tees Valley team employs three members of staff plus a manager, which also looks after Avis's Stockton base.
