Flyglobespan expands at Durham Tees Valley Airport

Flyglobespan has launched a number of new services from Durham Tees Valley Airport this weekend. The Scottish low-cost carrier is also increasing frequency on other flights, and will offer more routes from the North East airport than any other airline.
Flyglobespan based a second aircraft at the Durham Tees Valley from yesterday and launched flights from the airport to Jersey, Menorca, Nice and Pula in Croatia. One-way tickets on the new routes start from £29.99 including fees and charges.
Following strong customer demand for Mediterranean destinations, the plane will be used to offer extra flights on three of the five routes already served from Durham Tees Valley. Alicante and Palma will enjoy a daily service and flights to Ibiza will operate twice a week.
As mentioned last week, to celebrate the arrival of the second aircraft, Flyglobespan is offering passengers half-price airport parking on bookings made by July 15. This offer is only available via the Flyglobespan website www.flyglobespan.com.
The airline offers more routes from Durham Tees Valley than any other airline, with flights to Alicante, Faro, Ibiza, Jersey, Lanzarote, Majorca, Malaga, Menorca, Nice, Pula and Tenerife. However it recently suffered a number of flight problems, with some of its Irish passengers stranded in New York for 3 days this weekend.
