Bristol Airport fills XL gap
25.11.08
The gap left by the collapse of tour operator XL earlier this year has been filled at Bristol Airport, thanks to a new deal with a flight only company. Teleticket will provide services to a range of popular destinations, including Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Paphos.
The airport were set to operate up to 90 fewer flights per month after XL's collapse in September. Jason Wescott, head of sales at Bristol Airport, said: ‘It has been frustrating to hear from travel agents that customers want to fly from Bristol International when booking their holidays but can't because of a lack of availability. Teleticket has recognised the opportunity and created a 2009 programme which meets demand for flights to many of the most popular destinations.’
