Bristol Airport drug smuggler jailed

A Nigerian man who tried to smuggle £124,000 worth of cocaine into the UK via Bristol Airport has been jailed.
Kingsley Oradejire hid the substance in the lining of his suitcase, but was intercepted after arriving at the airport on a flight from Cameroon via Paris on August 10. The 51-year-old was given a seven-year sentence at a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on November 3.
UK Border Agency officers searched his bags and an x-ray revealed the concealed goods.
In sentencing, Judge Longman said: ‘Anyone who agrees to bring dangerous drugs into the UK will find the penalty will be severe to deter others.’ He added that Oradejire should be deported when he is released.
