Bristol Airport advise passengers to allow extra time
23.12.09
Passengers travelling from Bristol Airport over the festive season have been asked to allow plenty of time for check-in and security. With more than 100,000 passengers expected this week alone, the airport is facing a busy Christmas.
Shaun Browne, aviation director at Bristol Airport, said if people arrived too late to clear security and check-in, they may end up missing their flight. He said: ‘We advise passengers travelling with scheduled airlines to arrive at least 90 minutes ahead of their departure time - and 3 hours ahead if travelling on a charter flight.'
The recent weather may also affect people's journeys to the airport, and this should be taken into consideration when planning a departure time.
