22.11.07
Passengers were 0.4% higher at Bristol Airport last month compared to a year earlier, with 528,000 passengers passing through the terminal in October.
Domestic traffic was 10.8% lower due to the cessation of BA Connect's services from the hub, but international traffic increased by 5.1%, continuing to benefit from the introduction of a 10th easyJet based plane in May and the strong performance of Continental and KLM. Charter passengers were 1.0% higher.
In the 12 months to the end of October passengers were up 2.4% to 5.8m, with domestic traffic 8.9% lower, international traffic up by 9.4% and charter passengers down 0.7%.
During the month SAS has announced that it would introduce a new thrice weekly service to Oslo in April 2008 and Lufthansa announced that it will operate a thrice daily service to Frankfurt from March 2008.
