Bristol Airport passes 6 million mark

Bristol Airport passed a landmark in passenger numbers yesterday. More than six million people will have passed through the airport over the last 12 months - a new record.
When the airport opened in 1957 just 33,000 people a year passed through its gates. The six million mark was passed when check-in opened for Air France's 11:05 departure to Paris Charles de Gaulle yesterday.
