Crackdown on unruly passengers at Bristol Airport

Bristol Airport have launched a crackdown on anti-social behaviour within the terminal. After several recent incidents that airport have introduced a zero tolerance on passengers under the influence of alcohol, with airport and airline staff combining to ban offending passengers from flights.
Police airport commander Inspector Chris Ware said: 'Recently there have been incidents in which people have been detained on both inward and outward flights after causing problems. Airlines have the authority to refuse people they feel may cause problem on flights and we will back them up and arrests may be made if offences have been committed.'
'We are working with check-in staff at the airport and if they believe any passengers have been drinking heavily, appear intoxicated, and are causing problems, they will be spoken to by airline staff and police officers and will not be allowed to join their flight.'
