Bristol Airport mobility team has busy year
20.07.09
A support service for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) at Bristol Airport has helped over 33,000 travellers since being introduced 12 months ago. Provided by OCS, it offers a complete service to passengers with reduced mobility, from arrival at the airport to boarding their flight, as well as meeting inbound passengers landing in Bristol.
At the airport, the company employs 30 staff members who provide round-the-clock cover. They operate specialist equipment including two ‘ambulifts’ – hydraulic vehicles used to help passengers who find it difficult to climb aircraft steps to board and disembark aircraft.
