Bristol Airport passengers up 4.6%

Passenger traffic was up 4.6% at Bristol Airport in June compared to a year earlier, with 572,000 passengers passing through the terminal.
During the month domestic traffic fell by 6.3%, largely as a result of the cessation on BA flights from the airport earlier this year when Flybe took over BA's short haul operation. International traffic was up by 12.7%, helped by routes launched after easyJet based its 10th plane at the airport in May, and charter traffic was up by 0.3%.
In the 12 months to the end of June passengers were up 3.4% compared to a year earlier to 5,676,000.
