A spokesman for Europe's biggest budget airline said it have seen big demand for travel from Bristol on new routes to Dinard, Knock, Derry, Milan, Bratislava, Katowice, Porto, Poznan, Rzeszow, Wroclaw, Salzburg, Budapest and Riga. Ryanair will plans to fly 1.2 million passengers in the first year from Bristol Airport, which is also rival airline easyJet's biggest UK base outside of London.
Ryanair's Caroline Baldwin said: 'Since we announced these new routes, we've been inundated with bookings. Over 3,000 Bristolians a day are snapping up seats to the new destinations. And we expect these record breaking bookings to continue to rise, as passengers plan their autumn and winter trips'.
