SAS announce Bristol Airport - Stockholm flights
19.12.07
Scandinavian airline SAS is to reintroduce its summer service between Bristol Airport and Stockholm on June 27. The news comes less than six weeks after the airline announced it would begin a route between Bristol and Oslo next year.
The new Stockholm flight, offering passengers a link to the Swedish capital from the west country, will operate on Monday and Friday with one way fares from £49. Flights will be operated using a Boeing 737-600 with 112 seats, with travellers able to choose between Economy travel and Economy Extra.
The airline's UK and Ireland general manager, Lars-Ove Filipson, said: 'Demand for the service during summer 2007 was very strong amongst business and leisure travellers alike. We sold on average more than 80 percent of the seats available on every flight.'
'In October we announced the launch of our new service from Bristol International Airport to Oslo which will commence in April and offer three weekly return services to the Norwegian capital. This new route will complement our service to Stockholm.'
