Police and Bristol Airport launch ‘know your limits’ campaign
16.07.10
Police have joined forces with Bristol Airport to call on passengers to enjoy the start of their holidays in a relaxed and family-friendly environment this summer. The campaign will remind passengers of the potential consequences of excessive alcohol consumption and anti-social behaviour at the airport. Table-top signs in the airport's restaurants and bars will advise all travellers to ‘Know Your Limits’, warning that those who drink excessively risk being barred from flights.
PC Andy Bibbings, who is stationed at the airport said: ‘We want passengers to enjoy the new facilities at Bristol Airport, but inappropriate behaviour spoils the experience for everyone. This campaign serves as a reminder to those who may cross the line that if they consume too much alcohol they will not be allowed to fly. The message is clear - if you drink too much at the airport or before you arrive and try to board a flight in a drunken state, you will be stopped from flying, could be arrested and may even receive a life ban from flying with certain airlines.'
