Plane damage at Bristol Airport investigated
12.10.07
Police are investigating possible criminal damage to an aircraft at Bristol Airport. It has been reported this morning that officers were called to an Air France aircraft on Wednesday after concerns were raised that it had been tampered with.
A spokesman for the airport said that there had been no breach of security and that police were investigating. An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman added: 'Officers searched the aircraft and found it to be safe.'
'A case of criminal damage was reported by the plane's captain and we are investigating. There is no suggestion that security has been breached.'
Both statements seem to imply that someone with security clearance damaged the plane.
