Bristol Airport link road closed by car crash

The main road connecting the A370 with Bristol Airport was closed yesterday morning by a car crash. Firefighters had to cut free a man from the wreckage after an accident between a Peugeot 406 and a Vauxhall Astra at 06:50 on Brockley Combe Road, Brockley.
The Astra driver, in his 30s, was cut free from the wreckage by crews from Avon Fire and Rescue and taken to Weston General Hospital with spinal, shoulder, neck and knee injuries. The injuries are not reported to be life-threatening.
A man and woman escaped unhurt from the Peugeot, but were taken to hospital as a precaution.
