A Bristol Airport hotel which faced with a huge bill after the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled a poster at the airport saying the DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House hotel is 10 minutes away was inaccurate has found a novel way to update the giant poster, Bristol 24-7 reports. The fuming hotel manager decided to try to cut costs – and appease the ASA – by doing a DIY makeover to their sign instead.
Mark Hands, group general manager at the Congresbury hotel, took a spray can to the sign yesterday. Rather than 10 minutes from the airport, it now says 11 ! Whether this is enough for the ASA, or their planned long term solution, time will tell.
