Bristol Airport roadworks
07.09.09
Diversions will be put in place ahead of £10,000 roadworks near Bristol Airport later this month. The works extend from the junction in Downside to the A38 to Brockley Combe Road by Coombehead Farm and will begin on September 28. There will be no access to Bristol Airport from the A370 from this date and for the five days anticipated to complete the work.
North Somerset Council's deputy leader and executive member responsible for highways, Councillor Elfan Ap Rees, said: ‘We have scheduled these works outside the busy summer holiday to try and minimise disruption. We do need to carry out this work and there will inevitably be some delays. I would ask travellers going to Bristol airport and other road users to allow extra time for their journey.’
