Bristol Airport passengers warned of traffic disruption on Sunday
07.09.07
Motorists heading to Bristol Airport this Sunday (September 9) are being advised to allow more time for their journey as the city hosts the second biggest half marathon in the UK. There will be road closures throughout the city before and during the event.
The airport is open as normal but with rolling road blocks set to be put in place starting from Anchor Road at 03:00 on Sunday morning, meaning that motorists may need to plan an alternative route to the airport.
A leaflet detailing the road closures is available via the airport website (click on the link above, and then on the link on the bottom left of the homepage). A traffic hotline has also been set up throughout the weekend of the race on 0117 903 1212, or for information on how the road closures will effect the Bristol International Flyer bus service telephone 01179 558433.
