Fog hits Bristol Airport flights
04.04.08
Flights were grounded at Bristol Airport this morning due to fog. Planes stopped flying out at 08:00 due to poor visibility, with those due to fly into the airport diverted to Birmingham, which led to a number of cancelled flights.
Airport spokesman, James Gore, said: ‘We have had very poor visibility due to fog. We've had a number of diversions on aircraft which have gone to Birmingham and has resulted in knock-on cancellations. We are making sure additional customer service staff are out giving the latest information to passengers.’
Passengers diverted to Birmingham were taken back to Bristol on coaches.
