Blackpool Airport is bringing in the smoking ban one month early. From tomorrow (June 1), the airport will be asking people to stub out their cigarettes before they enter he terminal building, ahead of the imposed nationwide prohibition across the rest of England on July 1.
Smokers will still be able to light up outside the main terminal building before entering the airport.
Stephen Wiltshire, operations director at the airport said: 'We hope that by taking an early initiative ahead of the ban on July 1, we are encouraging both passengers and employees to adhere to and introduce the necessary changes.'
