Blackpool Airport free parking / £10 passenger fee popular

Bosses at Blackpool Airport claim a controversial scheme that sees passengers over 16 pay a £10 surcharge for using the airport, but receive free parking for up to 15 days has helped it increase in passengers.
An airport spokesman said: ‘We seem to be bucking the trend with most of our flights doing better than last year. The free passenger parking available to all our departing passengers has proved very successful in attracting more people from across Lancashire and the Lake District.'
