Jet2 axes two Blackpool Airport routes
19.04.07
Low cost airline Jet2 is axing two European routes from Blackpool Airport. The airline has been operating direct flights between the airport and Prague and Amsterdam since October 2006, but the services are being stopped from 3 June because of what the airline cites as 'operational reasons'.
A spokesman for Jet2.com said the airline's other routes from Blackpool were unaffected by the decision. It will continue flying to seven other destinations - Belfast International, Palma, Alicante, Murcia, Malaga, Faro and Tenerife.
Passengers booked on flights after the cancellation date have been sent letters outlining how they can claim refunds, the airline said.
