New boss at Birmingham Airport
27.10.08
Paul Kehoe has taken up the post as chief executive of Birmingham Airport. He has worked in the aviation industry for 25 years, and his most recent role was as chief executive of Bristol airport. That position was taken up by Robert Sinclair on October 20.
Mr Kehoe was also the managing director of Luton and Belfast International airports during his eight year employment with TBI from 1997 to 2005. He said: ‘I have joined at a very exciting time, with the new International Pier under construction, an extension to the Multi Storey Car Park under way, and the recent opening of two hotels.'
'Added to that the fantastic news that US Airways will be joining us next year, and you can see why I am so enthusiastic to lead the airport that not only puts Birmingham on the map as the second City, but also links the Midlands with the rest of the world - showing that it means business.’
Mr Kehoe takes up the role following the death of Richard Heard almost two years ago. Joe Kelly has been in charge of the airport in the interim period.
