Cargo plane emergency at Birmingham Airport

A cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Birmingham Airport after suffering engine failure in the early hours of yesterday morning, the Birmingham Mail reports. The pilot switched off one of the engines and made the safe landing around 01:00.
Birmingham Airport staff initiated a full emergency and five West Midlands Fire Engines were dispatched to the scene on standby. The were sent away 20 minutes later after the pilot negotiated the landing safely. An investigation into the incident is underway.
