Birmingham Airport welcome new finance chief

Birmingham Airport has welcomed Simon Richards as its Chief Financial Officer. He joined from Stansted Airport, where he has held the post of Finance Director since 2009, and previously held senior positions in E.ON, including Finance Director of the retail division, Powergen, and of the distribution division, East Midlands Electricity
Simon, who lives in Solihull, will head up Birmingham Airport’s Corporate Resources Division, which includes the Finance, IS, Property and Purchasing Departments, as well as being a key member of the Executive Team.
He said: ‘I’m looking forward to working with the new team and being involved in key decisions to take the business forward. Living in Solihull, with my wife and children, the Airport is quite literally on my doorstep, so I’ve always had a keen interest in what’s happening here. Now I will be able to become personally involved in the exciting developments that are planned for the future.’
Paul Kehoe, CEO of Birmingham Airport, added: ‘I am keen to work alongside Simon as he takes the lead on our financial management performance. He will be a great asset to our team as we strive to deliver profitable and sustainable growth at the Airport for all our stakeholders.’
