Flybe fastest growing airline to Germany

Flybe has been named the fastest growing low cost airline flying to and from Germany, according to the latest ‘Low Cost Monitor’ survey issued by the influential German Centre for Aero- and Spacetravel, which tracks the development of low cost airlines operating in and out of the country.
The airline had a massive 392% increase in flight ranking over the last 12 months. Flybe now operates 128 weekly flights serving 5 primary airports in Germany, up from the 26 flights on offer in 2006 / 07.
Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: ‘We’re absolutely delighted to be significantly ahead of our competitors in terms of growth in Germany. This can be attributed to our tried and trusted regional business model, which serves many of Germany’s key airports.
‘We are always looking at ways to grow, offering our passengers even more routes to business and leisure destinations across the UK and Europe. We are heartened by the fact that our efforts in Germany have not gone unrecognised.'
