Woman jailed over Birmingham Airport fake passport

A Nigerian woman has been jailed for 12 months for trying to use a fake passport to fly from the UK to Canada. Patience Ikhayere was arrested at Birmingham Airport in May after check-in staff became suspicious as she tried to board a flight to Toronto.
Ms Ikhayere, 27, was jailed for 12 months at Warwick Crown Court last week after pleading guilty to two offences of facilitating a breach of immigration law and possession of a false identity document. The judge recommended deportation when she completes her sentence.
