bmibaby expects busy half term from Birmingham Airport
12.10.08
Half-term holiday bookings for bmibaby are looking good despite the credit crunch, the low cost airline said. Take-up of seats for flights from Birmingham Airport to key destinations is almost 80 percent with three weeks of bookings still to go, it reports.
The airline has also confirmed that it can help any passengers affected by rival Ryanair's cancellations from Birmingham over the October half term to Alicante, Malaga, Prague, Murcia and Palma. Ryanair cancelled 25 return flights over half- term because strike action by Boeing delayed the delivery of new aircraft.
Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, said: ‘Despite challenging conditions, bmibaby goes from strength to strength.‘
