Train operator plans new Birmingham Airport links

A rail company is considering introducing new services linking Shropshire with Birmingham Airport. Arriva Trains Wales has announced that it wants to extend services from Aberystwyth and Chester.
The company said it needs approval from the Office of Rail Regulation, but aims to start in December this year. The extension would give the county an hourly service to the airport.
A spokesman said: ‘We are looking into it as it's something we want to do and have openly talked to rail groups about it.'
