Emirates ups Birmingham capacity
07.04.09
Capacity is being increased at Birmingham Airport this summer by Emirates. A second Boeing 777-300ER will be introduced on the airline's twice-daily service to Dubai from June 1, replacing the current smaller Airbus A330-200 aircraft used on the evening departure.
This will increase the total number of business class seats a day from 69 to 96 and the number in economy from 651 to 710. Overall, it represents a capacity increase across all classes of 11%, with business class seats up by 39%.
