Airport ground handlers employer switch

Hundreds of workers at Birmingham Airport and other UK hubs are switching to new employers after ground-handling provider Servisair snapped up 11 operations from rival Aviance. The transfer of jobs follows the announcement that Servisair had exchanged contracts with Go-Ahead to acquire their regional ground-handling business at 11 airports across the UK.
The agreement incorporates Aviance ground-handling operations at Aberdeen, Belfast City, Belfast International, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Southampton airports. Servisair will also acquire the Aviance cargo handling business Birmingham.
